Common Minor Pet Illnesses We Treat
Ear Infections
Ear infections are a common issue in both dogs and cats, often causing discomfort and irritation. Symptoms include scratching at the ears, head shaking, and a foul odor. At PetWellClinic®, we offer physicals that include thorough ear exams and effective treatment options, including medicated ear drops and cleaning solutions, all to relieve your pet’s discomfort quickly.
Upper Respiratory Infections (URIs)
Upper respiratory infections are most common in cats but can also affect dogs. Symptoms include sneezing, coughing, nasal discharge, and lethargy. Our team will assess your pet’s symptoms and provide the appropriate treatment, such as antibiotics or supportive care, to help them recover swiftly.
Gastrointestinal Issues
Pets can experience a variety of gastrointestinal issues, including vomiting, upset stomach, diarrhea, and constipation. These symptoms can be caused by anything from diet changes to underlying conditions. PetWellClinic® offers diagnostic services and tests to determine the cause of your pet’s discomfort and provide the necessary treatment. Our team is well-versed in custom treatment plans that include dietary recommendations, medications, and more.
Skin Infections
Minor skin infections in pets can result from allergies, parasites, or bacteria. Signs include redness, itching, and hair loss. Our veterinarians will diagnose the underlying cause and prescribe topical treatments, antibiotics, or other medications to heal your pet’s skin and prevent further issues.
Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs)
Urinary tract infections are common in both cats and dogs, leading to discomfort, frequent urination, and accidents in the house. At PetWellClinic®, we perform urine tests to confirm the diagnosis and provide antibiotics to treat the infection and provide fast relief for your pet.

Walk-in vet care, like what we offer at PetWellClinic®, is designed for non-emergency situations like preventative care, vaccinations, minor illnesses, or physical exams. Because of our walk-in model, no appointments are ever necessary at PetWellClinic®. Our clinics are open for extended hours of operation and on weekends, allowing you to stop by when you need us!
Emergency vet care is for critical situations that require immediate attention, such as severe injuries, sudden illness, or life-threatening conditions. Emergency vet clinics are equipped to handle these urgent cases 24/7, providing intensive care, diagnostics, and treatment.
While PetWellClinic® offers accessible walk-in services for your pet’s routine health needs, we always emphasize the importance of knowing when a situation requires emergency care. If your pet is experiencing a medical emergency, it’s crucial to seek help from a specialized emergency veterinarian without delay.
At PetWellClinic®, we focus on preventive care, diagnostics, and the treatment of minor illnesses for dogs and cats. To keep your costs low, we do not provide certain services, including:
- Surgical Procedures: We do not perform surgeries, including spay and neuter operations or more complex surgeries.
- Dental Care: While we can address minor dental concerns, we do not provide comprehensive dental services, such as cleanings or extractions.
- Emergency Care: We do not handle emergency situations that require immediate, intensive care, such as severe injuries or life-threatening conditions.
For these services, we recommend consulting a full-service or emergency veterinary clinic that can address your pet’s specific needs. You can ask your local PetWellClinic® team for recommendations if you aren’t familiar with options in the area.
