Dr. Leigh Pusateri joins our PetWellClinic team with over 25 years of small animal clinical experience. She earned her BS in animal science from the University of Delaware and her doctor of veterinary medicine degree from The Ohio State College of Veterinary Medicine. In 1995 she was proclaimed the Outstanding Small Animal Intern at the North Carolina State University Veterinary Teaching Hospital. Afterwards, she practiced small animal emergency medicine at an emergency clinic in Maryland until 2000.
Since then, she has worked in small animal general practice, and provided veterinary services for a non-profit animal shelter. Her special interests include internal medicine, preventive medicine, and pain management. At home, she has two dogs and two cats named: Jozie, Rip, Lamar, and Morgan.
Dr. Margeaux Malone has worked in small animal general practice in the DMV for the last three years. She earned degrees in animal science and biochemistry from Virginia Tech and then stayed in Blacksburg to earn her doctor of veterinary medicine degree from the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine in 2019. Her special interests include preventative care, internal and external parasite prevention, and feline medicine. Outside of practice she enjoys hiking, painting, and spending quality time with her husband and beloved cat, Waffles.
