Dr. Leigh Pusateri joins our PetWellClinic team with over 25 years of small animal clinical experience. She earned her BS in animal science from the University of Delaware and her doctor of veterinary medicine degree from The Ohio State College of Veterinary Medicine. In 1995 she was proclaimed the Outstanding Small Animal Intern at the North Carolina State University Veterinary Teaching Hospital. Afterwards, she practiced small animal emergency medicine at an emergency clinic in Maryland until 2000.
Since then, she has worked in small animal general practice, and provided veterinary services for a non-profit animal shelter. Her special interests include internal medicine, preventive medicine, and pain management. At home, she has two dogs and two cats named: Jozie, Rip, Lamar, and Morgan.
